Assistant Merchandise Planner

 

We are seeking a Merchandise/Planning Assistant with 2+ years experience to join our busy and committed team in our Newmarket Support Office. Reporting to the Merchandising Manager and working closely with the Buying and Regional Management Teams, you will be responsible for ensuring all stores have appropriate product and maximizing sell through. You will achieve this by the allocation of, and the movement of stock within the company. There is also an element of reporting to this role.

 

You will be responsible for:

·         Ensuring stock movements are planned and executed

·         Allocating stock across the retail network appropriately

·         Monitoring merchandise plans and budgets

·         Analyzing key trading indicators

·         Preparing weekly and monthly reporting for stock management

·         Responding to store and supplier queries
·         Liasing with the Finance Team to manage and track payments
 

To be considered for this position with us you must have

·         2+ years previous merchandise experience, preferably in a retail environment

·         Strong Excel skills

·         A high level of accuracy and attention to detail

·         Strong problem solving, analytical and numeric skills

·         Excellent relationship building and communication skills

·         The ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

·         Be highly motivated and be a proactive self starter

 

We are looking for an extremely analytical person for this role who has the ability to spot anomalies in data.
Experience in system/process development will also be beneficial for new business opportunities.
